Cheap and efficient don't always go together. As an example the most efficient electrical appliances are usually the most expensive, this applies to the boiler market too.

Is it gas or oil? Wall mounted or floor standing? Internal or external?

I believe the long term economical benefits will depend on what area you are from. Choosing a condensing boiler will depend on the reliability and service it gets so choose one that is a recognised brand and has good backup in your area. They all claim to service nation wide but I think it helps when you have some one local who knows the brand well.

Remeha avant up to 28kw condensing system boiler trade £600 inc flue, They also do a combi's up to 35kw. I have installed 6, 4 combi's 2 system, customers are pleased with the performance, Vaillant are also very good but not cheap. spend as much as you can afford it's an investment. would not buy from B&Q or the internet reputable merchants only.you must have it installed by a corgi regestered installer what ever you buy.

I,ve recently had a Worcester condensing boiler installed and am very pleased with it,s performance. It,s very quiet running, keeps a very steady room temperature and the hot water is so hot I have to be careful I don,t scald my fingers. Go for it you won,t be disappointed.
