I want to know what are your pressing needs about financial matters. If you paid $100-300 dollars for a one day seminar, what would you like to learn about to make it worth your time/money?

I work as a financial advisor to individuals, and I have extensive training/experience, but I'm considering giving a seminar. I'm only interested in giving the audience useful material, while not trying to promote myself or my services.

Retirement benefits. More information on how I can prepare now for retirement. Tips on 401k investments, etc.

who would pay $300 to attend a seminar on how to better spend their money? first step would be to avoid the $300 ticket price and invest that money. the money would be better spent in an IRA or 401k fund.
i guess if the independently wealthy are the ones attending the event, they'll probably want to hear about things like venture capital, capital gains and losses, initial public offerings and how to get in on them, etc.

Most important thing to learn is how to get a refund. Most of these one day 'seminars' are worthless and just come-ons to get you to purchase the next 'seminar'. Get your money back.

They have your $300. You could have paid a bill or put it in savings.
