How do I get seeds from an (not a joke) Impatiants plant?

I can not find where they store there seed at? I may have miss spelled the plant name.

The above answer is correct. I collect them by carefully placing my index finger and thumb around the small pod and apply pressure until I can feel it try to pop, then I place the seeds in a small container.

You can tell the seeds are ripe because the pod is somewhat translucent and you can see when the seeds turn brown.

Not that you asked this question -- Impatiens propagate very easily from cuttings. I winter over some plants indoors and take cuttings at this time of year (I have some rooting now) for outdoor planting in about two weeks -- also if I see a new variety at a nursery -- I get a couple of "bushy" plants and use the entire plant for cuttings . Sometimes I get 20 to 25 plants from one. Cuttings are so much faster than starting from seed --

Impatiens seed pod looks limilar to a pale green cucumber. As the seeds mature the pod swells. When it is ripe it, touch it, and it litterally bursts open broadcasting the seeds.
