I took a tour of the campus when I considered transferring there. It was a pretty nice school but in terms of location, it's pretty distant from the heart of the city. It takes roughly an hour or more to get there if you're in the city using public transportation (there's a nearby BART train and there are buses that pass through) since SFSU is a stone's throw away from being outside of San Francisco.

Generally, it was a pretty decent campus although quite compact. For such a large school, everything was close together. The last time I was there to check it out for graduate school was five years ago and they added a whole bunch of residential housing that looked pretty enticing. Although to be frank, I felt that the campus was cold and distant. But then again, it's a commuter school and a lot of those schools are like that. Generally if you want to make friends, you should join groups and what you.

I checked out Mary Ward Hall which looked nice. It's a dorm for freshman but overall, I like my space and I didn't think it was a very roomy dorm. The beds are closer than necessary that you could practically feel your roommate's arm plop on you in the middle of the night. It's very cramped quarters to say the least.

But overall, I thought it was a pretty nice campus. There are a lot of resources and it's in a pretty good area of town. You're right by a shopping mall, you have direct access to public transportation and there are still things to find in the area at your own discretion. Tuition varies but housing costs alone are kind of pricey for what they are.

However, don't be fooled by everything they say. I think the only real way you can learn is by visiting it yourself instead of reading the marketing on it. Realistically, another great way is to get to know one of the students and they could probably fill you in on what it's like at school.

I have a couple of friends who are attending SFSU. They seem to like it, for the most part. I've visited the campus and it's nice. SF is an incredibly busy city in general, so it depends on whether or not you enjoy large cities. There's definitely some parts of SF that are dangerous, but the campus is in a good spot.

SFSU does not have a reliable tutorial acceptance. that's seen no longer almost as good as San Jose State, down the Peninsula. SFSU is heavily politicized, with severe tiers of laptop coercion and liberal bigotry. you at the instant are not likely to get a balanced education there. once you're a conservative or Christian, you will at as quickly as study to maintain your mouth close and stay interior the closet.

Very liberal, excellent faculty, good education. Can be very foggy. If you're an open minded person and do not get ofended by other peoples extremely open-minds then this is a good place to go.
