OMG I totally do. I have a pink Zettenberger jersey and me and all of my friends paint our fingernails red and white before every game. My mom had Joey Kocur and Bob Probert tatooed on her bum and it really got me into the Wings. I think I'll do the same thing some day. I was thinking like Draper, cause he's like really good even though he's like really old and that Surgay Fredenoff guy that use to do all those like Nike commercials or something. Hes kinda weird looking but still kinda hot. I think they should just like give detroit the cup every year cause they are the awesomest! Go Wings go.

The Detroit Red Wings have been very good the last decade or so. But let's get real here; Any of the MONTREAL CANADIENS (who have won 24 cups, 11 more than 2nd place Toronto) dynasties of the 50's, 60's, or 70's would have to be at the top of ANY all-time list. You could ALSO make an argument for the EDMONTON OILERS of the 80's, as well as the NEW YORK ISLANDERS of the late 70's-early 80's. Because winning A Stanley Cup is hard enough; Winning FOUR or FIVE CONSECUTIVE CUPS is amazing! Let the Red Wings do that, & then let's have a conversation.

First, I am also a red wings fan who lives in maryland and have been a wings fan forever.
Historically, the red wings are by far the most successful american hockey team but the canadiens have more cups over time.
Right now they are very good but I think that buffalo may be too much for them in the final. I didn't think the wings had trouble with the ducks during the regular season. Then again they really took the series away from the sharks.

You'll be fine. I've gone to a number of Wings games and I've never seen anything like that toward visiting fans. Then again, I've never been to a big rivalry game. So far this year, I've seen them play LA and Vancouver and everything was fine. Garrett: I said right after the brawl and I'll say it again: Artest overreacted. If someone wanted to through pop on me for 48 minutes and pay me millions to do so, fire away. Also, except for that one stupid fan, who is now banned from the Palace of Auburn Hills (another thing, the brawl didn't even happen in the same county as Detroit), the fans acted appropriately until Artest charged the stands and attacked the wrong fan. Except for the people that ran on the court to attack the players or the one guy that threw a chair at a player, I'm not going to fault the fans, same as I would with any other team's fans if it was their fans that brawled with another team.

Detroit, the best ever? I don't think so. In the 50's the Montreal Canadians won 5 straight Stanley cups. In the 70's Montreal won 4 straight stanley cups, in the 80's the New York Islanders won 4 straight cups and lost in the finals of the 5th one. That team they lost their 5th one to was the Edmonton Oilers with Wayne Gretzky and Mark Messier the 2 highest scoring players in the history of the NHL. That Oiler team won 5 Stanley cups over a 7 year period. They didn't even have Gretzky on that team that won the 5th one in 1990. I'd place your Red wings right about the same place that I place the New Jersey Devels. Top 10 but not top 5 and certainly not the best ever. As for this season, they have a chance but I think Ottawa will win the cup if they can get past Buffalo.

The red wings have the advantage of being an original six team. It has given them more opportunities to win those 10 Stanely Cups which is the third most of any team. They clearly have been the best team for the past ten years with three championships to show for it, but there is no way any team comes close to Montreal(22stanely cups)despite having no success lately.

The best team ever? That would be the Montreal Canadiens. They've won, what, 24 Cups? 5 in a row at one point. 4 in a row on another occassion. Detroit is my favorite team, but they are definitely not "the best hockey team ever." That's just fan-talk right there, not hockey fact.
That said, they could win it this year! You never know. 25% chance at this point, which is better than the lottery!
