what does it mean when a guy says "I'm secure in my marriage" yet he wants to have an affair? To me that is really low and degrading. I got into a argument with a married guy who said that. I told him what he is thinking and wanting to do is so wrong and his wife needs to know that. He apparently cheats on her ALL the time. Is his wife that dumb not to notice all the signs....he brags about it and all and is obvious not to mention a low life scum bag. I feel sorry for his wife.

I think in this case the person is referring to the fact that he's cunning enough to pull the wool over his spouses eyes or she's maybe insecure and won't leave him. I don't think his spouse is dumb. I know of someone who's been through something similar and we talked in length about how she felt. It took her a while to catch onto what he was doing. His job made it possible for him to conduct himself in this manner. (ie. travel due to work) and it's even harder to do anything if he completely denies it without proof. Cheaters are very cunning and go to great lengths to make their home life ok so their spouse won't suspect what they are up to. People like this want their cake and eat it too. I suspect if she had proof the situation maybe quite different. People don't get involved so it makes it hard know what's true and what's not. Thank heavens for my friend one of his co-workers confessed what her spouse was doing and helped her gain the proof she needed to she could get what she needed to help her support her children after they divorsed.

Because they think to have a wife that is interested in the things they like and act like one of the guys would be way better than marrying a nagging woman that won't let them have their toys and be gross and do things with just the guys.

Most of the time the wife knows. She either doesn't find it worth investigating or confronting, or she is doing something herself. His statement is contradictory. Someone that is secure does not need to look in other areas.

The wife is probably secure in her marriage, too. I was curious and asked a girl i know what her ***hole did when she had an orgasm. She told me he was probably off drinking beer with his buddies.

She probably knows but chooses to ignore it lest she lose the lifestyle she's comfortable in. If he's a serial cheater then she'd have to be completely blind not to see the signs, even if she didn't want to admit to herself what they probably meant.

He's a creep and karma will catch up with him. Take some minor comfort in that.

It means he thinks his wife is so stupid that he won't get caught. Stay as far away from him as possible!
