you know how, for instance, on google, you have a blank field in which to type items you want to search for, and then every time you go back to it, if you left click in the blank field, a dropdown automatically drops with everything you've ever typed in that field? is there a way to get rid these items one by one (preferred) or a way to do some kind of large-scale delete? i have Vista, if that makes any difference.

Ok, I too had the same problem. But now I've got rid of it. Follow this:-

1. Goto the site where the blank field is located.
2. If you see any thing unwanted in the DropDown list, hold click over it, and press "Shift + Delete", and you will get rid of it. If you hold "Shift + Delete" for sometime, then it will delete all the searches one by one.

:)...thanks

In the Google Too Bar click settings, options, search box settings. Now just configure it the way you want it.

If you want to control your "Browsing" history, right click "Computer" and open properties. Now click "Security Center and then "Internet Options". On the General tab in "Browser History", click "Settings" In this window you can set the number of days you want to keep a list of the sites that you have visited and here you can also control "Temp Internet files".
