Sounds like he was nervous, give him a day or two. He was probably being shy.

You're overthinking things!
He could have been flustered and didn't know what to say, he could've been shy, or he could've been flattered and really did just need to think about it.
In a couple of days, if he doesn't respond, IM or e-mail him with a sexy but subtle, "hey. so, i heard you've been thinking about some things.. ;)"

He didn't like being put on this spot- it embarressed him! This is kind of silly, don't ya think?..Just let him know that you think about him alot and if he ever wants to do something sometime you'd like that. I think he probably would have said yes.
