I have been on Prozac 20mg for two years and i was also on Depo shot for four. I have been trying to get pregnant for almost a year now and nothing is happening. Can it be because of medication or do you think i have too much scar tissue to get a fertalized egg to attach to lining? What's going on?

I'd consult your OB - you may need to have your Prozac changed but it isn't on the do not take while pregnant list (safefetus.com) but the not conceiving could be because of the Depo and you should definitely see your OB for that and let them know you've been trying for a year. Have you been having periods? Have you charted at all to figure out your fertile times? A lot of factors come into play. Also, you mentioned scarring - I'm not sure why you have it but it could be a factor - only your OB can do the necessary tests to figure it out. Best of luck to you!

I think the depo is out of your system by now, but i would start taking a safe antidepressant, let your health care provider know you are trying to conceive, the first three months are very important, some times with depo it can take awhile, keep trying and get checked by an OBGYN, I would only take meds prescibed by the OBGYN, good luck

See a dr, I have heard rumors that depo may cause problems (I'm not an expert, this is just from friends)

It took me 2 yrs to get pregnant with this baby, so have faith!

You question is really based on your medical history. Only your doctor could accurately address these concerns.

Would help to know if you've ever been pregnant before. Some people have problems with that, you know?
