what other country, can a criminal have more rights than the victim. imagine someone breaking into your home, and you confront them, and they get hurt.. they are able to sue you for not preventing them from breaking in. in thefirst place only in america it pays to be a criminal just look at our goverment.

This is not "america" it is the lawyers who abuse the system because it profits them. The profiteering however is very American.

yep its dismal from a legal standpoint. Look at the movie Small Children the extreme left tries to have you feel bad in some way for a child molester/pervert.

Well, law that allows you to shoot the criminal in a head which has broken in your home is not very nice too.

You and your laws, it's something we all laugh about.

In answer to your question, anyone is allowed to file suit, but the type of suit you mention is routinely thrown out by the courts.
