Ok, recently a co-worker of mine has been telling me all these stories about how much money she is making on ebay. The items vs. selling price she described just didn't make sense to me so I decided to check out what she had for sale on EBay. Turns out, she is selling a lot of stuff that she does not have, all mostly high cost electronics. All of the auctions say that she is not responsible for lost merchandise, but it will be "lost" because it will never be sent! I hate to be a snitch, but this woman uses and manipulates everyone she can. And once these items have ended, she will have made well over $1000. I hate to see people out that much money. What can or should I do? Can/should I report her to EBay? Should I stay out of this?

Absolutely report her! Ask yourself if you can live with this knowledge and not feel terrible. What if it were you or someone you care about who was ripped off? (ie your mom) I think you will feel very good about yourself if you do the right thing. The world needs more honest people like you!

even if you dont want to, you have tto do it.. think of what is happening.. my father almost bought a house like that.. PEople here in MExico are getting into taking a house that is being used by nobody and putting up a fake FOR SALE sign. Then, when somebody pays for it, the people selling it fun away and there is no way to recover it. People hate it and you need to be a snitch and turn her in. That is against the law..

You can go through safe Harbor at Ebay, but unless you are a victim of her scam, not much you can do. And you can't contact her past customers as well.

Best just hope that she gets Three negs against her for no delivery, and that will permanently suspend her.

doesn't stop her from signing up with a new account with fake information

You can go to the police. Take print out of her auctions from ebay and go from there.

You should report her, but on that same note, buyers need to beware and smart when ordering over the Internet. I can't believe EBay has not suspended her as yet.

One reason that she "may not be responsible" is that she is only a "middle-person". This means that she recieves an order for an item, orders from another company, and then enters the buyer's shipping address instead of her own.
