St. John's Wort is good, but it takes several weeks to have full effect. 5-HTP is a newer supplement that boosts seratonin levels in your brain that does not take as long to work.

I am hoping that you're in counseling because your mood affects the brain and chemicals in your brain. If your just on medication alone, you have a lousy doctor.
Your husband sound abusive. If you're not cheating and he constantly accusses you of it, that's not normal.
St Johns Wort is given as an anti-depressant in one of the European countries, they don't use Prozac. Remember that "drugs" are synthetic reproductions of natural ingrediants. I believe you should have weaned off the Prozac. You should wean of just about all medications. Now your body is lacking a certain chemical it was used to. The bad thing about taking anything long term, is that your body will stop producing the very chemical you need.
I know this is hard to do, but if you'll walk for 30 minutes a day, you'll get your endorphines going. When you feel like you do, just getting out of bed seems like a chore. Start small. For me, at one point in my life, I could only commit to 30 seconds a day. You can walk in place for 30 seconds or 1 minute for a week. Then the second week add another minute. Don't go over. Even if you want to. It's better to build up to something and stop when you want to keep going, rather than trying to do too much and wishing it would end.
Good luck!

St Johns wort is mild, if you were taking prozac, seems u may need something stronger than st johns wort.
L-tryptophan is an amino acid(what they make 5htp from) though 5 htp is not as effective.
L-tryptophan makes your brain boost the natural production of seratonin, which effects moods.
It has been used for years.
Also taking B complex vitamin is important
Thank god u stopped the prozac, that stuff can kill you. Terrible drug. 99.9999 percent of prescriptions are.
Do you get in the sun everday for at least an hour? if not take a vit d supplement.
This will help.
Good luck in your marital situation.
Try talking it out with a mediator, me and my husband have to do this sometimes, it works :)

You have to address the problem that is causing your depression. Prozac is not an answer. A serious talk with your husband, maybe marriage counselling, anything to repair the relationship. Try to read self help books (they helped me a lot). To improve your mood do things you enjoy - listen to music, go for a walk, get a pet. St. John's Wort is worth trying but it won't solve your problem, it's a band-aid solution.

St John's Wort will help your mood. I took it for a while when I disliked my job and it made me an easier person to live with, just ask my husband and daughter!

Omega3 and omega6, both are essential fatty acids that assist in evening out your brain chemistry. If you were on an antidepressant then you more than likely have chemical imbalance. These will help. You can get them at any pharmacy or health food store. I think that maybe some marriage counseling will help as well. Communication is key to any relationship as well as trust. Sometimes you just need another person to mediate.

Don't depend on drugs to deal with problematic situations like the one you have outlined! Consider cooling down otherwise and calmly thrash out the problem instead of poisoning your body by consuming drugs which can have far reaching adverse effects on your immune system! Also, meditate to beat tendencies to feel depressed!
