With the exception of a select few, I believe we are all fighting for the good of our country. Many of us might disagree with the other side and of course, that makes for a good debate. All in all, I believe that we're pretty well-rounded, with the exception of those who insist on spewing hatred and belittling others.

That's what freedom is all about. And if it came down to it, and should be have another internal crisis, I do believe that most of us could agree to help each other.

Well there definitely is a lack of respect for other people's views, but I am hoping that for most Americans it doesn't go so far as hatred.

it is not hate. it is the extreme of freedom of speech. people think they can say or do anything, which they can, but the thought of consequences is long gone.i feel like most people think they are the center of the universe and all revolves around them. we have become a "me, me, me" society with no regards for others personal rights.shape up america.

No, not at all. It's not nearly as bad as it was in the years leading up to the civil war, or more recently, in 1968. We have not turned to rioting or to war yet. It has been much worse in the past.

america doesn't have a sense of community. we have a 'throw away' society.

we're full of hate- some for other people, but mainly for our fellow citizens
