You could babysit. Or, you could ask around at different restaurants. They might hire you to clean, etc. Some states hire people your age to do jobs like that. Contact your local Chamber of Commerce and ask them what they might suggest. P.S. I congratulate you for wanting to get a job. You will do well in life.

Yes. Go to Mrs. Robino's. We need a bus person!!!

Actually, I had a job at Seymour's Cleaners on Union Street when I was 15.

It depends on where you live, but in the Wilmington area, just keep looking. Someone will hire you!!!

The only place 14 year olds can work and earn substantial income is as a child actor or model. Your earnings will then be subject to various legal safeguards so that your parents or anyone else can't deprive you of them. Anything else, the child labor laws will interveen. The best bet for ordinary kids, is to take the rake and lawnmower out of the garage and walk down the street - ask your neighbors if you'd like them to mow their lawn. In the winter, get yourself a snow shovel.

Not sure if this applies in DE as well, but in Vermont, a child 13 or 14 can work at a farm for pay. Minimum wage rules do not apply however.
