His dad asked me to make him a cd to play at the funeral of my 23yo cousin who's passed. Do you have any suggestions?

Amazing Grace - Ani DiFranco
Yes it is amazing grace, but it is the most amazing ... She is very underground and speaks through her music to the young. If you wish I can email you a sample... It is what I have had deemed to be played at my funeral. my family has it on CD's and put away...

I would take some classical music (romantic period) and use that. Like DeBussey's Clare de Lune, Pachobel's Canon, Requiem, ask a music teacher for help if need be. Also include some of the music she liked if it is appropriate.

For your loss I grieve. Truly. A great song for a funeral of a friend or family member in my opinion is "One Sweet Day" by Mariah Carey and Boys to Men. Please accept my deepest condolences. God Bless you and your family during this troubling time.

I just lost my grandson in February of this year and we played his favorite music, the songs that he loved... I think for someone so young that playing their kind of music is a fit tribute to their lives... Some of my grandson's friends even did his favorite dance to his favorite song... They were crying while they did it, but they felt they owed it to him since he couldn't do it himself.. I hope things go smoothly and that I have helped in someway.. I am sorry for your loss, God bless you all and keep you..

do you know his favorite songs or music, that works, unless it has bad language of course... i went to a 12 year olds funeral and they played a bunch of rock songs it was nice because it was his music and his friends definitely connected to it. good luck.
