Most likely its normal, I've been having similar symptoms and I'm also 23 weeks. They did a sonogram and said its the way the baby is laying and the sharp pains are from the muscles in your uterus stretching. I know its painful but it should subside. Just double check with your dr. just in case.

I was taught that your tummy feeling as you call it, is your gut telling you to beware. You should follow your gut! Think about it and come up with a plan so you can follow them sometime, or have someone else follow them and take pictures if needed for proof. It would be devastation to find out that your mother would do such a thing, but if you really didn't think so, your tummy wouldn't be feeling so funny now would it?

More likely normal. I have those pains when I was pregnant, too. And it went on like that until I gave birth. My son didn't kick me much on the sides, but it felt like he kick me down there plenty of times. It's like a stabbing pain. It can be scary, but my doctor says that it could be because of carrying the baby lower in your tummy. That was my reason why it was so painful down there.

It's normal. I felt the same thing in the same places and asked the doc about it! He said the baby can bruise you a little from the inside by hitting the same area and he's just hitting it again and again which makes the feeling more "painful". Also......
Wait til you get 38 weeks prego like me.....THEN you'll know what being kicked in your privates really feels like! It gets a little worse. heheh No biggie though....you'll do great!

That's how I feel. I just posted a question about it too. And I have a doc's apt today and I explained it to him as a bruise feeling too. Except I haven't felt my baby yet. But the pain is the same as yours.

Obviously talk with your Doctor; But if your Tummy is feeling really funny do us all a favour and contact I.T.V. or the B.B.C. as neither of those television Company's have shown anything genuinely funny in their programmes for ages!
Seriously I wish you all the best for the rest of your pregnancy:

yes. This is the most active time in gestation, the baby is big and strong, and still has lots of room! It will last for another 6 weeks or so, then gradually slow down. Good luck!
