I have a miniSD card that I forgot to put in to its SD card adapter and now it's stuck in the printer card reader. I can't get any tweezers in there to get it out and I've tried shaking it out but nothing works. Any ideas?

I was going to suggest tweezers. I will put the printer down and try it with a piece of paper , see if you can make it to go down. It's hard if we dont see it. Try different things

Couple of ideas...

Duct tape folded sticky-out over the edge of a bit of stiff card... poke it into the slot and press the duct tape sticky onto the back of the mini SD card. Pull gently back.

Get another mini SD card, put a THIN bead of glue onto its back edge, poke in to contact the back of the stuck SD card and leave to set... then pull out.

Third option... fashion a right angle bend out of a straightened paper clip, feed it in back of the stuck miniSD and pull. Maybe fashion 2 of these pullers, 1 for each side.

Fourth option... Dismantle the printer

Last option... Live with it, you've lost your SD card and broken your printer's SD slot. It's not worth paying a shop to fix it )they'll probably charge more than a cheap printer and SD card combined to fix it. Buy a new printer and SD card... or a new printer and use unreasonable force to dismantle the SD slot of the old one.

Do all of these with the printer off power and disconnected and you reasonably earthed.

You will have to take the unit apart; What we usually do when things like that happen is basically take the whole unit apart ( Carefully ), and then take it out. It is time consuming, but safe. And it gets the card out

tweezers would be to thick, if you have a really thin nail file (I would prefer something smother the grit can mess up the reader) then you may be able just to lift it out of the reader. If you dont want the nail file try something like a thin knife (unplug first please)

Try getting a paperclip in there and pulling it out. Or maybe a small flat-head screwdriver.

use two paperclips, bend it straight, and use them to pull the card. It happened to me before, and this trick work on me. Good Luck ^^
