I agree with everyone, call your doctor. But honey I would like to tell you, and everyone else out there that asks questions about bleeding while in early stages of pregnancy, if you are going to miscarry, there is nothing they can do about it. They will tell you to rest, and that is about it. I know this because I just had the same problem and I miscarried at 8 weeks. I hope that is not what is happening to you. But yes, you should call your doctor, but the other thing you should do is rest as much as possible. No lifting stuff, nothing streneous. Give your body a break. and try not to stress. Try to think like this "unless I hear something different, then everything is okay" That will help calm you down a little bit. Just take it easy until you can see your doc.

by the way, with me, i bled really bad and there were clots. Usually you dont have to worry until there are clots. Bleeding a little bit during pregnancy is really normal. With my first pregnancy I bled really bad and soaked through 2 pads an hour, and ended up with a healthy baby boy who is now 6 years old. Just this last time i wasnt so lucky.

Good luck and I hope everything turns out okay!

You could call yr midwife, however they usually cannot do anything to stop the process anyway. It could be from recent sex, that has happened to many women and is nothing serious. It can also mean a miscarriage, that is more serious. Either way, there is usually not much to be done when the bleeding is not heavy bleeding. Nature can be left to take its course. You can actually have a miscarriage without cramping. I have had that. I also heard from the dr. in the hospital that they cannot prevent anything when you are miscarrying and that an ultrasound won't do any good, as it cannot prevent anything. They did do an ultrasound the next day, but only to make sure everything had left my womb. They did talk about a D&C, but that was also not necessary, unless I had real problems, which I didn't, so it was left to nature to clean out what was still in there and heal. When its a lot of blood, definitely check with yr midwife and ask her for help. There are various ways that the bleeding can be treated then, like cayenne pepper etc.

First question your doctor will probably ask: Have you had sex recently? If the answer is yes, the bleeding was probably caused by that, and its a very common pregnancy occurance. Second, its a good sign that you aren't having any cramping, so take a deep breath and try to stay calm. Bleeding during pregnancy is a very scary thing, even when there is an explanation. Your doctor will probably try to get you in for an ultrasound today or tomorrow, just to take a look. He or she may even send you for a blood test today with a repeat test in a few days just to make sure that your hcg levels continue to go up at the correct pace.

I had bleeding during all three of my pregnancies, the middle was a miscarriage. During my other pregnancies the doctor never was able to determine the cause of the bleeding.

So give your doc a call, and he/she will help direct you on what to do from there.

i want to give you a hug since this was exactly me yesterday. I am 9 wks 3 days. Yesterday i went to the bathroom and found some bleeding in my discharge. It freaked me out and i called the Ob/gyn office. They asked if i was in pain. As i wasn't they said ok, just rest and come in tomorrow unless you keep on bleeding. Today I went in and they said brown blood is good (red or pink is fresh and brown is old) and uusally is because a blood vessel popped or you had sex and it bled a bit (not a problem apparently) or a lot of other reasons like the placenta coming a bit unstuck. And they did an ultrasound and the baby was happily swimming away and you could even see arms. The main thing is how much are you bleeding? Just a couple of spots or would it fill a santiary pad? If you aren't cramping that is a good sign. I strongly suggest you call your ob/gyn office and see what they say. They really won't mind if you call and don't feel like you are just nervy and wasting their time. I was worried about this too and they said, absolutely not, you did the right thing to call. They will ask you some questions on the phone and you can take it from there. Good luck.

This happened to me at 9 weeks pregnant.I had gone pee, wiped and had a little blood on the tissue.I went back about a half an hour later and there was nothing.I went to see my doctor, and it was determined that it was a broken blood vessel. My doctor said that some bleeding is normal. You should not worry unless you experience heavy bleeding, cramping, or if the bleeding doesn't stop withen a day.Regardless, all bleeding should be reported to your doctor.Good luck!

First, relax

Second, call your OB and go in to hear the baby's heartbeat.

It could be something, it could be nothing but red bleeding always necessitates a call to the doctor.

I had some heavy red bleeding during my second pregnancy, a subchorionic hematoma. My second beautiful daughter is a year old now. So, bleeding can be "normal"

Good Luck-do call right away, though.

Bleeding in early pregnancy has many causes, call your dr, but unless it gets heavy enought to need a pad its probably nothing.,

I had intermitttent bleeding at 7 and 11 weeks, turns out I had a blood vessel on my cervex that was irritated by the pressure of having a baby in there! The dr cauterized it and the bleeding stopped

You might want to call your doctor. I experience bleeding when I was 11 weeks with my first pregnancy and I ended up having a miscarriage. I didn't do anything to promote that miscarriage, it just happened. So call and get it check out.

Don't even bother waiting for answers on here. ANY time the blood is red make sure your on your way to the ER or Dr. It could be nothing or it could be something. Better to be safe than sorry. Good luck!
