I have a friend who is quite well groomed, with an immaculate appearance. He seems cold and distant and he doesn't seem to get on with other guys. He is a talented violinist and sometimes sings (even in the shower). He also sometimes behaves in a theatrical way. I notice he has lots of female friends. I want to know...is he gay or not?

Unless you want to hire a private detective to trail him for a few weeks, you should ask him. Plain and simple.
Any other source of information would be merely speculation.

Does it really matter whether he is gay or not? I have a guy friend who hangs out with nothing but us girls.....U wanna know something..????????? He is as straight as anyone can get.... He is happily married to a beautiful woman and has two girls. What is amazing is this........He don't trust guys at all, but he can trust us girls for some reason. Why not just sit down and ask your friend and see what he has to say? He may be gay then again he may be straight like my friend. Whatever he has to say make sure you let him know how you really feel and be supportive of him.....It's not easy being gay in some parts of this country.

Some of those signs point to the stereotype of a gay male, but really when it comes down to it this doesnt mean anything.
But then again im 100% straight so what would i know.

I really wish people would quit acting questions like this. It's like gays are the gay experts, we have a gay radar to track if someone's gay or not...

My dear Son, ask your friend, but ask him politely. Make certain that you get across to him that (if this is what you mean) that he *is* your friend and will remain your friend no matter what the answer is.

Offer hiom sex,if he punches u in the face u know he's not.

He sounds Gay but there are so many guys who are metro sexual these days. If he stares at other guys arms, wedding finger, or there bulge. Then he is gay.

the only way to tell- ask him!!! (altho if u walked on him having gay sex- could be an indication but still could be bi or gay4pay )
