Not buying gas on certain days will not offend or hurt the pockets of the major gas companies because if you don't buy it on a certain day, they know the next day or so you will need to refuel and you will be back.
What would hurt them is to switch our fuel habits and get hybrid vehicles or to go to those generic fuel stations. More than ever we all need to be standing together writing to our congress person to get them to do something about the fuel prices and what it is doing to the lower class and middle class families.
We need to stand for something or fall for anything. I remember last year when gas prices began to rise that someone sent an email out stating that in the first quarter the gas companies reported a profit of 4 Billion Dollars - off of our blood, sweat and tears....

It wont work.
This will hurt us.
It will put the most strain on the gas stations with the lowest profit margins-those owned by individuals and small companies-the same ones fighting the high gas prices already.
They will go under or just take huge hits while the larger companies are able to absorb the day with no ill effects.
THIS WILL RAISE THE POWER THE OIL COMPANIES HAVE OVER YOU.

Does it really matter? If nobody buys gas on the 15th, the lines and profits will be that much more on the 16th. Some big damage we are doing to the oil industry eh?
If I need gas, I will buy gas. So will most people that lead any kind of life outside of home where they have to drive. I don't see this being any big deal.

It would be better to tell people to stop driving over the speed limit on major highways. Most cars get 25 to 30 miles per gallon at 55 mph. At 60 miles an hour most cars get 22 to 28. At 70 mph most cars get 19 to 26 miles per gallon.
All of you people driving 70mph on 65mph speed limit highways should slow down to under the 65mph speed limit. It will save a lot of gas.

No CNN did a story on this, It will not affect the Oil Industry. Now if you stopped buying gas for a month that might do some damage, but then you'd be fired from your job because you wouldn't be able to drive to work

Can't make any guarantees for ya. If the tank is close to empty and I've got a long way to go, I'm gonna have to buy some gas.

It makes no difference whether or not you BUY gas on the 15th. Now, if you don't USE any gas on the 15th then you might be able to make a statement.

Boycotts NEVER work. This effort to get people to not buy gas is ridiculous!!!!!
