That story line was written when sony was unsure that Josh Morrow(Nick) would be signing a new contract. Sony asked the writting staff to kill off Nick, just in case that he did not renew his contract, and to make sure that he was not picked up by the bold and the beautiful. Morrow has signed a 3 yr contract with the show. Since the script is written & taped 6 wks in advance they will need to change the outcome. Poor Noah

Remember, on soaps, even when there is a body, that is not 100% the character is really "dead." As everyone is saying, Josh Morrow just signed a new contract. Perhaps he will disappear for awhile thinking the judge won't see poor Phyllis to prison since she will be a single parent or maybe that Brad will recant because he feels sorry for Phyllis. I didn't care much for that whole storyline, anyway. I know Jack stood to benefit from the Clear Springs deal, but wouldn't it hurt Nikki's campaign that the blackmailer was her daughter-in-law? They seemed to overlook that fact. And don't ya love how these people put business ahead of everything--wasn't Viki at work one day after she suffered a miscarriage? Don't they have sick days at Newman?

With Nick "missing," maybe Sharon will end up with Brad, Vikki with JT and Phyllis back with Jack?

I would first like to correct the poster who said that Dru was on the plane....that is completly untrue. Dru fell over a cliff at a photo shoot and was never found. Now, I don't know whats up with Nick and the crash, but my guess is that its a reason to regain his memory. He was sad today that he didn't remember the day of Cassie's death, and they spoke a lot of his memory loss, and then he was in a crash. So, the only reason I can think they did that was so he could hit his head and get his memory back. I guess we will just have to wait and see.

Nope. Sharon's shoot was cancelled. Just Nick is supposedly dead, but I read that at the last minute, he renewed his contract, so Nick & Sharon are both alive.

That would just be crazy! Hope not - when Nick is doing great. However, I wouldn't mind if Sharon left the show....

No, probably not...according to some Soap sites, they only end up on a deserted island and realize how much they miss each other. It's about time.

No they don't die, but the storyline lets us believe that Nick is dead! They both signed new contracts.....

Both actors just signed new contracts so I don't think either of the characters will be dying.
