Dude, ok. There is no team out there AT ALL that can sweep the Sabres. Beat them, maybe, but they're in no danger of being swept. I, for one, love my blue-and-gold clad boys far too much to doubt them now. Ottawa may be "scary," but the Sabres are "Scary good!" Remember what RJ told us, keep the faith, and "dream and believe!"

No, Buffalo is not in trouble but it doesn't exactly do the team any favors by playing the way they did or losing the first game at home!! Long series usually points to the more disciplined teams wining and that means the Sabre's must cut down the opportunities that they gave the Senators in game one!! If they should lose the next game then they can probably look forward to the summer break thinking about what couldve been!! At this point in the Sabre's thinking though anything but the cup is a disappointing season, despite wining the Presidents cup!!

Game one is simply that. Just one game. IF they should lose game two however, they would be stuck having to win 4 of next 5 against a ten who is 10 - 2 in the playoffs. Game 2 is always a key game. IF Lindy learned anything last night the Sabres will rebound. IF not it will be a long ugly summer in the Sabre's camp

Buffalo must win Game 2 or I think they are in trouble considering how Ottawa has done at home in the playoffs. The key is to take it one game at a time and go out and even the series . Then split the next two in Ottawa before coming home and hav home ice advantage . I do like Buffalo to get to the Stanley Cup and defeat Anaheim in 7 games.

That was how they played against the Rangers and they bounced back up to their somewhat normal playing standards and rebounded. Game one is over with, now we look forward to Game two where I'm hoping the Sabres do a complete 360 because they're better than how they played last night. As for last year, they were only lucky enough to have a majority of their talented/decent players out due to injury...let's hope they stay healthy and get their heads out from their a*ses

I think any time that you lose the home ice advantage in the first game you are in a bit of trouble. In a seven game series the visiting team wants a split. Ottawa got the split and did it pretty convincingly.
I think that the Sens are a different team than the last time Buffalo met them in the play offs. Also it seems that winning the presidents cup is a curse.
I think that this will be the Sens in six games.

Between these two teams the team that won game 1 won the series. Sabre talk has been slowed ever since the loss on here, but you will win Game 2 (Sens have never won first 2 games). However the tied series will be short lived, Buf is 2-5 against Sens this year and sens dominate at home, they will take Games 3,4 and end it in Game 6...maybe Game 5 depends on how much momentum they take into it.
All teams are expected to win at home, the old adiage is that the playoffs don't start until someone wins away. Sabres didn't hold up their expectations, so yes, I would worry based on history.

The Sabres do this often. They fall asleep during games, and don't do anything until the last few minutes. They will come back, my predection is the games will go like this:
Gm1: Ottawa
Gm2: Sabres
Gm3: Sabres
Gm4: Ottawa
Gm5: Sabres
Gm6: Ottawa
Gm7: Sabres
against the rangers it was sabres sabres rangers rangers sabres sabres, so its not unlikely they can come back.

Sabres can play better then they did last night ... but so can Ottawa. I do think Buffalo is in for some trouble this series. They also know this is their do or die year ... next year because of free agency ... they are going to lose some key players.

"A lot of people were picking the Sabres to win in seven games...."
Your words. By my count that leaves 6 (possibly) that have yet to be played. They aren't in trouble. They are down 1 game to none.
