to cut down on the electric bill i prefer to watch tv in the dark,however since i work swing shift it doesn't really matter

In bed, I prefer watch TV in the dark, but in the living room, I have to have a light on, and not sure why that is.

Lights on. My eyes hurt when I watch TV in the dark. I have to have some sort of light on, or I get a headache.

lights on; lights off; makes no difference for me, but tv seems to be so much better in the dark... same with movies

If it's a scary movie, in the dark. Otherwise, usually with a little light.

Dim with a light source behind me.
Completely dark strains your eyes.
