My Grandad worked as a train driver
He punched in every morning
And punched out every evening
to go home and gaze lovingly at my Gran's wrinkled smile and varicose veins
and loved every moment
Eventually he punched out the final time and they gave him a watch on a chain
He died before he needed to wind it up - even once
Now that is true love

It IS a way that boys show that they like a girl, especially when they're young and don't know how else to express it, but they usually grow out of it by the time they reach 12 or 13. After that, it becomes a pattern of abusive behavior and a magnet for girls and women with low self-esteem or who had an abusive father.

That all depends on who's doing the punching. Jr. High guys do things like that, showing affection. Grown people should find other ways of showing love. Abuse isn't love.

Depends on the situation. Is it punching out of anger, if so, then no it's not. I play with my guy sometimes, and we do get into wrestling, and light punching, but it's all in fun, nothing serious where I would get injured.
