Fresh cut grass, fire, and cowsh*t.
When I was little we had a park across the street, and it reminds me of that when I smell fresh cut grass.
We always had bonfires when I was almost a teen. I love the smell of fire, (depends what's on fire though!) because of that.
Yesterday I enjoyed the smell of cowpatties, because it reminded me of my grandma's farm... I think my son thought I was NUTS!!!
Thanks for the memories!
;o)

Ok, here's a really odd one.
When I was around 3 we had a large round hassock. As with most furniture, the underside of it had that sort of dusty, musty smell, and like most 3 year olds I enjoyed crawling around under the furniture. That dusty, musty smell reminds me of the house we were living in when I was 3.

The smell of cotton candy being made always takes me back to my childhood, and mama walking me around the fairgrounds in the summer. Mom passed in "93" I am now 54 but that smell still takes me back.

The smell of sewage, popcorn, and cheap perfume.
When I lived in Russia, that is constantly what I'd smell.
It sounds disgusting, but sometimes I'll smell something similar, and all these wonderful memories will come rushing back. So I cherish those smells now. :)

My father was a leather smith. Our house smelled of fresh leather and very strong glue. I loved those days when my dad sat and tooled leather. I still have a lot of his handi work that he made for me and my mom. This is an especially special memory because at that time I KNEW my daddy loved me. Unfortunately he grew to dislike me very much toward the end of his life. I have those precious memories to cling to that help to "chalk one up for childhood". Good question. Nana

The smell of Dial Gold soap. When I used to spend summers with my grandmother, I remember being in the tub on a hot afternoon with the bathroom window open and a light breeze coming in. My grandmother had Dial soap-I loved it !

The smell of bacon cooking always reminds me of my gran's house as a kid. She's still around but in a different house. We used to visit her on sundays when lunch used to be either her home made chicken soup and or bacon sanwiches! Yummy!

The smell of a fireplace always reminds me of when I was little growing up in VA.
Also wet hot pavement always makes me smile. Reminds me of growing up in NYC. My Mom & I used to run all over the city in the summertime.

Oranges. Whenever I smell them, I think of my grandparents who used to live next to an orange factory in Florida.
Windex. It reminds me of all the times my mom cleans the many windows in my childhood home.

I grew up in NE Philly and there is a Nabisco plant on one of the major roads there. Everytime you drive by you would be enveloped by the smell of baking cookies. I'm pretty sure its still there, ahhh the memories.
