roger is arguably the greatest picther of all-time. however that same sneeky suspicion that i had about barry bonds, jose conseco and a hand full of other athletes cheating always creeps into my mind in regards to clemens.

i believe he is cheating big time. he shows all the classic signs of a someone who uses performance enhancers. the fact that barry bonds can be ridiculed, recieve hate mail and death threats based on suspcion alone but clemens does not i find very interesting.

the fact that this man can excell and in some cases improve into his mid 40's is unheard of, i would even go as far as to say impossible.

i believe that the truth will come out one day in the distant future and the mythology of another sports icon will be shattered.

I think you have to question any player who is as good in his 40's as he was in his 20's. The natural progression for the last 100 years of baseball was that a guy peaks around 27 to 30 and then begins a gradual decline after that. Look at Griffey, Thomas, Maddux, and Pedro as examples.

Clemens, Sosa, McGuire, and Bonds all got better in their late 30's. Some of them quite suddenly. I do not doubt that Clemens has juiced, he is from the generation where that is most common, hasn't had a natural decline and has gotten larger in the upper body has he has aged.

There is no question Clemens is being boosted by steroids. The question is when did he start? I believe he first started in the early 90s with Boston when his career was supposed to go into decline and people were wary of his drop in velocity. Then, all the sudden his velo came back and he dominated again.

Right now he is no longer throwing 95+ but he can still get it in the 91-94 mph zone. Someone his age it is highly unlikely to be still able to throw that hard. I would say it is very likely.

However, Clemens, like Bonds, was never tested positive. It is impossible to prove that Clemens took steroids or is he still taking them. I wont bash him unless I can see proof of steroids. He certainly has one of the greatest careers a pitcher has ever had.

i think of he did use HGH n steroids to. If he initially admitted it and apologized to the league and his followers, he would have made the corridor of acceptance. yet he won't get into the corridor of acceptance because of the fact he's performing like an fool good now. And asserting each and everything is Mcnamees fault, and declarin he on no account used steroids

I think there are a lot of pitchers who have used. But i also think they have been stopping due to the recent scandals to try and steer clear of it. Clemens is a classic example. It's weird how most people don't look at pitchers the same way they look at home run hitters. If you can increase your power hitting, it would obviously be just as beneficial to throwing your pitches harder. Who knows why but people just don't pay as close attention. Maybe it's because there is no equivalent to the home run record being challenged. I agree though, i think at some point he probably juiced, but i don't know about still doing it.

Actually, Clemens was one of the players that Jason Grimsley fingered as an HGH user along with Andy Pettitte, Miguel Tejada, Brian Roberts, and Jay Gibbons. It's amazing how fast that story was swept under the rug.

I don't think Clemens is using anything except for the NY Yankees, Houston Astros, Boston Red Sox, and the ol' Toronto Blue Jays.

I think you are RIGHT on all counts!! But then again, Roger Clemens is no model of a good person anyway. He is self-absorbed, self-loving, and self-adored. With the exceptions made for him to play baseball, he is also a poor model for today's youth.

Chow!!

I don't think he is using any junk. What's more, I think you want to believe Clemens is using. What are your motives for this? Are you one of those pathetic Yankee haters? If he is using, the truth will come out.
Bonds, btw, is beyond suspicion. He's about tripled in size. Even his head and feet grew, and that just doesn't happen to adults without some very special hormonal help. If you want to hate anyone, hate Bonds. He's worthy of all the hatred any baseball fan can muster.

Yeah i do, there has been a few times that he has been talked about with the whole steroids scandal, and when a guy just keeps getting better with age you have to wonder whats up with this guy, but if he has never been proven guilty, you hate to say that he is.
