There are more chances of dollar going weak in the medium term against Rupee. Rupees appears to gain some more strength in the coming months going below 40 for one US $.

The Dollar will strengthen in the near future. Two things, weak dollar encourage inflation and increasing oil prices. Most people are expecting a rate cut or hold on rates from the Feds mainly due to housing woes. But I believe the weak dollar will help the economy strenghten hence the inflation supported by firming oil prices and this will ineitably alter the views of people on the Feds next move.

In India RBI has been raising interest rate as a way of fighting Inflation,this played a role in the rising value of rupee.The impact of the rising value of rupee----the exporters are hurt and the importers are benefited,.But this situation can not be cotinued for a long period of time.In future the Dollars will try to regain strength in respect of Indian rupee.

It can't get much lower against the pound ££ Sterling so it stands to reason that it can't get much lower against the Rupee either.

I imagine that it will weaken due to india's explosive growth and the US slowdown.
