Depends on where you work. Best professional advise, if your boss doesn't wear shorts, then don't wear shorts. I've seen some people at my office wearing shorts and flipflops but I would NOT do that. It does not convey a professional image....once you damage your professional image it is very difficult to rebuild it.

So you could wear shorts but my best advise is to NOT wear them.

That would be very unusual - with many employers, jeans are allowed, but allowing shorts would be pretty rare.

Most employers with casual Fridays also publish rules on what is and isn't allowed. If yours hasn't given you that, then ask HR or your boss.
