Just wanted to share a cleaning tip with you---about 3 years ago I started using newspaper (of all things) and Windex with vinegar to clean glass doors, windows, and mirrors. I have gotten many wonderful compliments, and this method leaves no streaks whatsoever!

What is your best cleaning tip?

When cleaning your windows inside and out....

Wipe the inside surface horizontally and the outside surface vertically. Why? Because if you have a streak you can easily determine if it is inside or out!

I do not use the newspaper I use a cleaning towel and find no streaks. I also learn a secret in doing windows or mirrors the less humidity the better. When doing bathroom mirrors I turn out the lights to do the mirrors they dry better and no streaks.

I clean offices and houses for over 20 years I have tried a lot of methods.
Have you ever tried the Windex with vinegar mixed in it is an all purpose cleaner for windows and counter-tops I use it on top of stoves too. It is good stuff. Also I use vinegar all the time even in my home.

1. For ceramic glass top stoves apply a product called Invisible Shield Surface Treatment and in the future spilled and burned-on food will be right up and making cleaning the stove top so much easier.

2. To stop food from sticking to the inside of your refrigerator, dip a cloth in glycerin (available in the hand cream section at the drugstore) and apply a light coat to the whole refrigerator, including the shelves. Even the stickiest foods will wipe right off.

3. To make plastic shower upkeep simple, apply a coat of car wax to the walls, do not do this on the floors of the tub or shower as it will make it very slippery.

4. To remove grease from wooden cupboards, apply a very thin coat of car wax, let dry and buff.

5. To remove rust from a kitchen knife, put knife into an onion for about an hour. Move the piece back and forth to help the onion juice do its work.

6. To polish a stainless steel sink, put a tablespoon of flour in a dry sink and rub with a soft cloth. Then rinse and dry. Another way is to put the stopper in the drain, pour in some club soda and rub with a soft cloth. Dry to prevent water spots. To make the sink shine apply a few drops of baby oil and wipe it off with a paper towel. If it doesn't seem shiny enough repeat this process.

7. To remove streaks and stains from stainless steel appliances wipe them down club soda.

1 cup water, 1 cup rubbing alcohol, and 1 cap full of Prell Concentrate.

Newspapers are the best thing to clean with. Use a cloth if the windows are really dirty, and the newspaper for the final wipe.

I use Dollar General brand of window cleaner & the special paper towel that Bounty makes for cleaning glass & windows. It works great. I also use the DG glass cleaner to clean my countertops, greasy smudges on doors, etc. I also use it as a pre treater on clothing stains before doing the laundry.

I agree with you, newspaper does a wonderful job. I used to use a little ammonia in my water, it works beautiful, but the smell is hard on the nostrils.
