I know you can get extra playability of some ninentedo gamecube games with GBA connectivity. I have been playing wind waker and metroid prime on my Wii. I have an older GBA lying around but I don't want to waste money on a link cable if it is not going to work. Has any Wii owners tried connecting their GBA to their Wii like you could with a Gamecube? If so with what results?

Yes the Wii can play the games with the GBA/Gamecube cord. You put it into the top controller port and can start playing. The game runs just like on the Gamecube. Other games, besides the ones you mentioned, include Legend of Zelda: Four Sword Adventures, 007: Everything or Nothing, and Animal Crossing.

Most of the games that offer this connectivity don't use the connectivity that well. Four Sword Adventures is one of the few games that you might really want to try, the rest don't really call for the investment in the cable.

Unfortunately, you cannot connect your GBA to the Wii. You CAN connect it to the gamecube, but you need a Game Boy Player in order to do that. There is no Game Boy Player for Wii. Sorry, man! You can, however play with the DS on the Wii for the upcoming game "Pokemon Battle Revolution"

melanie you actually can connect it.

Because the wii has GC ports on the top you can get a gba connector. And use the Gc ports to play the GBA games on the wii but they GBA games only work with gamecube games.

EX: Wind waker

i'm interested in this question too, particularly for Animal Crossing. yet consistent with the poster who wrote that the Wii is thoroughly on the spot, it is probably no longer genuine. because of the fact the unique poster wrote, Gamecube controllers hook up with the Wii with a twine. If there is an attachment that connects to the GBA on one end and plugs in to a Gamecube port on the different, it may paintings. unsure if the Wii could comprehend it or no longer, yet i could think of it may be nicely matched.

You just use the cable link to the connector area on the top of wii just the same way as you connect your gamecube controller. It will work only with Gamecube supported software, of which the only title I am aware of is "LEGEND OF ZELDA: WINDWALKER.
