His best - Unbreakable followed closely by The Sixth Sense
His worst - I feel by far was Lady in the Water

Doesn't he have a new movie coming out soon?

I've never even heard of the first two.

My choices are Sixth Sense for best and I think Unbreakable for the worst. I wouldn't exactly say it's the worst, though, it's just my least favorite of his films.

Haven't seen Lady in the Water yet, but I heard it was really bad.

EDIT: In response to someone else's question in their answer, his newest movie is called The Happening and is scheduled for release June 13, 2008 at this point in time.

I haven't seen the first two or the last one. I liked all of the others, but SIGNS is my favorite.

I was disappointed in The Village the first time I watched it, but I felt drawn to watch it again, and again. The more I watched it, the more I got out of it - and it was something different each time I watched it. The most important thing I learned from the movie was that parents can do everything in their power to keep their children safe and teach them godly principles / morals, but no matter WHAT we do to try to raise our children right, there are no guarantees. Free will exists for all, and evil can still find a way in. It's NOT always the parent's fault when their child makes wrong decisions. I really needed that message...

My Favorite is Unbreakable because of the actors and the subject-matter. I think Signs is a better quality film, though. His use of silence in Signs was Cool, almost Hitchcockian(if that is a word).
The worst is definitely The Village. Lady in the Water was a bomb in the theaters, but it has been very successful as a rental. I think it is under-rated especially considering many critics chose it as one of the worst movies of 2006. Believe me, there were many films worse than that in 2006.

Well the one you hear most people say is "The Sixth Sense" and I really like that one and it probably is his best.

But I really like "Signs". Maybe because I was a kid in the 70s when Bigfoot and UFOs were big, but that movie just did aliens right in my opinion. It seemed like they really had arrived.

How about the scene on TV where the alien was caught on film...totally homage to the Bigfoot film with the guys on horseback...loved that!

Anyway. I am sure "Sixth Sense" and maybe "Unbreakable" are his best, but I enjoyed "Signs".
