Do you think LaKisha from American Idol was booted because she doesn't have the "look?

Question

A local reporter hinted that the reason LaKisha was voted off because she wasnt the complete package. At first I was bit upset, but now I think there may be so truth in his comment unfortunately. What do you think?

I don't think so. Her performances on Bee-gee's night were lack luster. I believe she was ready to leave. Her mind and heart were aching and you could tell. She is talented, and she can have a career in singing, but she missed her daughter. These last few weeks you could tell how distracted she was.

Absolutely....she don't have the look which is sad to say, but did Ruben have the look....No, but he one, and I felt she was strong enough to win. This is not America's Next Top Model. This is a singing competition and she's an amazing singer. Look at Kelly Price when she started out, she was big with a HUGE voice, and she lost all that weight and looks great.

I think Lakisha will make it anyway, without American Idol.

She was booted because she didn't get enough votes. Not to mention the fact that Jordin, Blake, and Melinda have ten times the talent LaKisha did. I've heard people try to say this on TV too, but everytime they say it I wonder if they've all forgotten about Ruben Studdard.

She has just as much look as the others do. She got booted because she isn't a guy. The young girls in this country were all hyped up over Sanjaya and having their very own American Idol single young guy to cry over. Now that he's gone, all the young voters are going with Blake. Lakisha is lovely, but she just isn't a boy!

Thanks for ruining tonight's entertainment for me.In England we don't get to see the show until tonight! So it's LaKisha is it? Obviously I haven't seen it yet but that surprises me,did she absolutely blow or something? I thought she was one of the best contestants.She really did well with the Bon Jovi thing last week even though it wasn't her thing.I don't know if it was her look that killed it for her,as another answerer has pointed out,there are some less than beautiful winners.I'm sad about it.I thought she was in with a good chance.

I don't think she smiled a lot because of her teeth, she probably felt a little self-conscious...

I don't think she was voted off because of how she looked I think that America just liked Melinda, Jordin and Blake more...

I thought Lakisha sang really good and I hope she gets some kind of record deal after all this...

Why would that be the reason........Look at ruben.
If that was the case then i don't think she would have even made it that far.
The reason she was voted off was because i think everyone else is getting better and lakisha is doing about the same every week.

She didn't have "the look", but I don't think that's what did her in. I think she also didn't have the spark and personality to win it. She looked sad most of the time. And her performance after she lost was better than the night before. I don't think she's pop idol material. I think she'll be a wonderful gospel singer or even something more classic, like jazz.

Look at the two winners that have had the biggest careers thus far, Kelly Clarkson and Carrie Underwood, I would say they have "the look". I think Jordin has the best shot of winning since she has more of "the look" than Melinda. In the real world looks are not suppose to matter, but reality says that isnt exactly the case

I doubt it.....LaKisha had an excellent voice.
Fantasia and Reuben do also..they both won but would you really consider them to have "The Look?"
