People who hate gay are doing same thing with racism?

Yes, that is correct. You don't have to like everyone, but hating is a horrible feeling and hate crimes and saying hurtful things to people not like you, or people you don't understand is unacceptable, and uncivilized.

Yes, I think they are. I believe there is evidence that people are born with a sexual orientation (although we do choose our behavior, we do not choose our gut attactions), therefore, to 'hate' a gay person is to hate them simply for who they are ...and that is not acceptable.

people are taught to hate or fear anything they don't understand-- whether it's a race, a gender, a color, unusual abilities, anything that's different. People will always want to be better than someone else.

No, being black is not wrong, nor is it forbidden by most religions, yet being homosexual is. It can be presumed that , as most religions contain the accumulated wisdom of the ages, that there must be something fundamentally wrong with being gay. Time will tell.
