I did know about the body farm... absolutely fascinating. While I probably wouldn't donate my body or my hubby's, I'm more than happy to donate any usable organ to medical science. If there is some part of me that can be used to better someone else's life... go for it! I sure won't be using it! :)
We actually donated both of our babies bodies to science... the first for study (major genetic disorder that contributed to her death) and the second for stem cell and tissue harvesting. At least something good possibly came from our losses!

I am donating my organs and then I will be cremated. Why spend lots of money on a plot, coffin, headstone, and all the things that go along with it? The body is just the vessel for the soul and I don't see any reason to waste the money on keeping the body 'safe' in the ground when it is no longer of use to me.

WOW! Okay...whilst I can see the scientific side and the need to find answers, I personally could never do this...not to my own body (I intend to be cremated, just another precautionary action on my part, ha!) and there's no way I could allow this to happen to a loved one.
Just my view.

That's gross. I have my driver's licence marked as an organ doner but that is as far as it gets for me & my family members.
