I am being told to move "yesterday" from my subsidized housing because when they ran my background check I have a posession charge. I was told when my probation was over (and I have JUMPED through every hoop since then) it would go off my record. I work at Arby's so DUH I can't afford anything else and risk being homeless. They told me I don't qualify for Welfare because I don't have any illegitimate kids. Any suggestions?

You do not give us a vital piece of information - we need to know the state in which you reside. Laws differ from state to state. So, here is the best generalized information I can give you: In many states, probationary sentences may be EXPUNGED from a person's record IF the probation was completed and all stipulations in the probation were met. It also depends on whether or not the person who completed the probation has stayed out of trouble since that time. Sounds as if you have. Therefore, contact the judge who gave you the probation and ask to have your probation EXPUNGED from your record. This completely removes it, but YOU must ask for it to happen and provide proof that you did as ordered. Good luck... :)
