Well when I was a kid (or under 18 if you like) I used to go to porn sites. It never scarred my mind.
If my kid went to site (not that I have one) I wouldn't mind as long as it doesn't alter thier view of women or sex or relationships. It didn't alter my view. I knew the difference.

I agree, but most of what is considered normal for society is NOT good for our kids. That's probably why so many of them are screwed up. As always, a childs parents should be involved in educating their children, not to sheild them from what they themselves do not like (they will be exposed to them anyway), but rather to teach their kids why they shouldn't accept society's norm for their own, and why they should choose for themselves what is best to have a stable and enjoyable life. Porn has always existed in our society, only difference is it's a lot easier to access it. But, this is nothing that isn't easily controlled by limiting a childs access to the internet in general. I think a child shouldn't be using the internet for anything other than school. I do not think an 8 year old should have their own myspace page, and I am confident in my opinion because I know that such is not needed for the development of that child. People act as if they do not remember how life was like before technology like cell phones and the internet, which was only like 10 years ago.

I'd send my kids to a Fine Art site. Porn is stupid.

I agree but it is difficult to prevent them from doing so because while you can control (to a point) what they look at one your own computer you can't control what they watch on someone elses'.
