Well according to your question, Price is not the biggest factor (if it was..I'd say go to Stratosphere). Honestly for Quality and Size of room they're all going to be the same..but for some reason Monte Carlo and the Hilton are gonna stand out a bit more (especially the Hilton since more of your money is going to the room and not location). Best one of the above listed based off of location is. Monte Carlo, NY NY, and Flamingo. They are the most central IMO. Here is a link to a las vegas strip map: http://www.lasvegasmaps.com/stripmap.html I say check out the map..and see what Casinos interest you more and pick one of the casinos you listed above that's closest to them so you don't have to walk too far all the time. If it were me..I'd pick Flamingo..as I'm never really in the room in Vegas that long..and I like it's location being rather central to allt he major casinos..but it's right across from Bellagio and Ceasars.

The Flamingo isn't a very nise hotel. The Hilton is not actually on the strip so if you are doing a lot of walking I wouldn't reccommend that one although they do have the monorail you can take for $5. The Stratosphere is all the way at the north end of the strip and really not by any of the more famous hotels. The Luxor is the furthest south and the rest of them are also more south but in a better location because most of the hotels worth checking out are at that end up to the center of the strip. I would say fo those hotels, the MGM is probably the nicest.

That depends on what is important to you. If you are considering location I would choose Flamingo, MGM or Monte Carlo....stay away from Stratosphere & Hilton, they are away from the action of the strip.
Look on this website, they rate many points on each hotel and have unbiased reviews

its the best online resource I have found- been using it for 4 years now.....
have fun, no matter what you choose you will have a blast, Vegas is so cool!

Well there is a lot to consider and would need more info such as what are you planning on doing while you are there, if you are a gambler or not and how many times you have been to Vegas. While I dont think you will disappointed with any of those choices, Monte Carlo is a total construction zone right now so its kind of torn up and the Stratosphere is towards the cheap end of the scale and is located at the far north end of the strip. You can check out pics of quite a few Vegas rooms on my site at http://www.lvcasinoinfo.com/hotelrm_pics.html

I've stayed at Luxor and NYNY and loved them both. What I do to pick a hotel is decide what I want - in the case of my upcoming trip next week, I picked NYNY because of the number of restaurants because my dad likes to eat and this will give him a lot of choices.
Basically, a room is a room is a room in Vegas - they're all pretty much the same. Pick the hotel based on the amenites you want or the location - for example: I wouldn't stay at Stratosphere because it's WAYYYY down at the far end of the strip (about two miles from Mirage and four miles or so from Mandalay Bay.)

MGM is by far one of the best hotels out there. Their junior suits are fantastic. The regular rooms are great. The pool is awesome. The atmosphere is perfect. Studio 54 is a very fun club to hit.
NYNY is has an upbeat atmosphere. Very nice if you like the "city" theme. Rooms are ok, depending on if you get a suit or not.

I haven't been there as an adult yet, but I've been there 3 times as a child... I always wanted to stay at the Luxor. I haven't seen the rooms, but it seems like it would be very luxurious. MGM is always a good stand by.

Look into the Rio - all suites so the room is plenty large. There is an ongoing shuttle between the Rio and Harrah's so within 20 min you can be in the center of the strip. Rooms now are low $100's but weekends may be more.

O!! This is my favorite Question! I have stayed in The Mirage,Paris,Excalabier, and The Aladin. The Aladin has been remodeled and is a GREAT place for a family. The Mirage is more for a buisness person. If you are looking for a place not very expencive try the Tropicana. Wait...did they tear that down? anyway....the Whynn is very expensive but very nice. After listing these....your best bet would probably be to stay at The Aladin!
