A circle has a diameter of 5 feet. What is the area of the circle in square feet? Round your answer to the nearest tenth.

Area = PI*D^2/4

=(22/7)*(25/4)
=(22*25*4)/(7*4*4)
=2200/112
=19. 6 Sqft

You being a kid Pi is taken as 22/7

if u take Pi as 355/113 u will get better value it will be 221875/11300

The formula is pi*r^2, where r is the radius of the circle...

r = d / 2, where d is the diameter (5 ft)
r = 5 / 2...

Area = pi * (5/2) * (5/2)
Area = 20 sq ft

Area=πr^2= π *(5/2)^2= π*6.25=19.6Sqft
