lead is used for shielding against radiation. zinc is an essential trace element especially for men and it is a treatment for iron to protect it against rust, limestone can be used as stone for buildings or converted into quicklime for making cement.

Lead for fishing lures. Zinc for galvanization for water buckets to slow the rusting process. Limestone is used to make cement, which gets mixed with water and sand to make concrete or mortar.
