And I'm sure JK Rowling, and all of the others out there trying to make a living from writing, want you to take their property and keep it for free. Why would writers want to have a place to live or food to eat? While you're at it, ask your doctor to operate on you for free or the gas station owner to give you some free gas because you just have to get somewhere.

Please. Writers are entitled to the same courtesy as anyone in any other profession. Don't steal from them. But if you do, remember, theft of intellectual property is as punishable by law as any other theft and you could be in jail. Personally, I'd love to be on the jury. Better yet, I'd love to pick your cellmate.

I downloaded it last year the day it came out. My daughter and I were in Ohio and her preordered copy was sitting in our mailbox in Florida and I went online that morning because she was so disappointed. She was happily reading it on her gameboy that afternoon.

It is always easier to answer these kinds of questions when you have email or im enabled. People can't just give out web addresses in public view or they get closed down.

But you can google torrentspy...

You can't download Harry Potter either for free or for pay. JKR has never allowed her books to be put online. To get any HP book, you have to buy it. Amazon has it for basically half price (plus S&H), and the other Internet booksellers probably have it for the same price.
