I have loved this book since I was a school girl many years ago. I have read it probably once a year ever since. Did you notice that my nickname is " Lizzie". If I could be a heroine in a novel, I would be " Elizabeth Bennett". Alas, I am not and the search for my " Darcy" continues but as we know, life does not always imitate art.

unfortunately Mr Darcy is too dashing and I have spent a good deal of time waiting for the strong silent type. I keep meeting Mr Collins after Mr Collins. Alas I think that romantic novel such as this one (which I adore) set the modern day girl up for some serious disappointments. Even Bridget Jones' experiences are far fetched. Bit cynical but there you are.

That book was horrible. It has pages and pages of dialog without saying who is saying what, so you have to keep going back and counting lines in order to tell who is speaking. The 6 hour BBC miniseries is amazing however!

I enjoyed the book and the interplay among the characters.
