I've chosen to "erase all titles" when I've watched what I wanted to, + now the discs are showing as "unrecordable". I'm using DVD+RW discs as recommended by nice young man in Asda.Be gentle with me, please!

Thanks Peter M, but the manual states it uses DVD+R, or DVD+RW.I'm sure it's me doing something wrong, but just can't figure it out.Could it be that I didn't have overwite function enabled when I first recorded on these particular discs?

you probably need to reformat the discs or re-initialise them to free up the space for re-use. If the machine is DVD + R/RW only then DVD - discs won't work. If it is both formats then DVD - is a bit more flexible
Overwrite might be the answer in future.

DVD+RW discs are for PC's. You need DVD-RW for your recorder. The nice man from Asda should exchange them since he give you the wrong advice.
Best of luck.

I always use dvd+rw discs but reformat them instead of just erasing. I've never had any problems doing that.

Go into the menus and look for a menu that says "Format" or "Reformat". Once you have reformatted your DVD+RW disc it will be ready to use again.
