Halloween, because it's very supernatural and fun.

I hate holidays. They are meaningless, just another day for me to plan my vacation around because the company I work for pays me for them, one less vacation day I have to burn. It seems that nowadays holidays are only meant to bolster the annual sales of department stores and shopping malls. As far as my favorite holiday in terms of planning my next vacation, to answer your question directly, I would have to say the 4th of July. I choose that holiday for 2 reasons. One, it's on Wednesday, which some people find annoying, but I don't because I can use 2 vacation days and be gone for 5. And second, it's probably the only holiday that is not neccessarily geared toward marketing a specific product. Like, you can't buy someone a diamond pendant for the 4th of July, cause that's weird. Fireworks, while illegal in some states, are relatively easy to buy in others, and are dirt cheap. Other than grocery stores offering sales on steaks, hamburgers, and hot dogs, you might find a nice gas grill on sale at Lowes or something. That's not a big deal I don't think. It's holidays like Easter, mothers and fathers days, Halloween (which isn't even a real holiday), valentines day and Christmas that really get on my nerves because they either want you to buy candy or jewelry. Ba humbug!

hmm, i got 2.
1. Navratri...the Hndu festival of honoring Mother, and as a part of Gujrati culture, i love the Ras Dhandia/Garrba dances. i mainly love Navratri cuz of the Ras.
2. Divali, the Hndu new year. I love it cuz friends n family get togetha, eat, eat, and eat. eat a lotta sweets. light fireworks, we keep our homes very clean, and nicely decorate da homes with lights, n light the 'diya' (a harden clay lamp w/ ghee (oil) and a cotton wick). we also buy brand new things on the 1st day of Divali. we also preform pooja (worship) for Lord Ganesh, n Mother Lakshmi. its a very beautiful holiday, and lasts for about 5 days, and its one of my favs.
