People who really care about you should SHOW they care about you, shouldn't they?

I think you've got some great answers here.
Some people have difficulty expressing emotions but that doesn’t mean they don’t feel. Knowing how other people feel is important because good communication is important and feelings are at the heart of expressive communications. The way someone was brought up can have an affect on how they express their emotions. For instance if they’ve been told not to show their anger or not to cry when upset, these feelings will be suppressed or ignored. Expressing warm feelings in a close relationship will bring a stronger feeling of acceptance, trust and security in the partnership. Emotional expression is being thought of more and more as having psychological benefit and it is necessary for emotional intimacy. But it’s a complex subject. You feel that people who care about you should show they care and it sounds like you need to share your feelings in order to build on and maintain a relationship. A typical two year old will freely display a full range of emotions. As we grow older we become more introverted and thoughtful and we learn in different ways, how to manage our emotional expressiveness. If someone hasn’t been encouraged to express their emotions they will suppress them but that doesn’t mean they don’t have any feelings. I would try to talk to the person and get them to open up to you but it will take time. You can’t change a lifetime of habits over night. Good luck.

Maybe they should because it makes some people feel convinced. But then note that some people are just good at SHOWING 'cos it is natural in them. Others are just not good at displaying emotion 'cos it is equally natural in them. Observe too that in several cases those who don't show it actually care more for u than some that show it. Afterall a chunky % of show of emtion is fake.

Maybe those people are too shy to show their emotions or are taught this way. Most of the time they feel even more but are afraid to show it for whatever reason.

Love is something you do, not just something you say. That said, what do you mean by "SHOW they care about you" ?

they may care but just try to hide it, and there are many ways for them to express how they care

If they like you they will show emotion,if they don't they will not.If they show no emotion don't waist your time on them..
