Latvia and Poland to be precise. Do you think the U.S. would be annoyed if Russia put a couple on the Mexico border?

Ahh, Bill, the anti ballistic missile shield,

Is not nuclear missiles.

They are conventional missiles designed to shoot down nuclear ballistic missiles.

Good question. The reason the Bush Administration is saying that it is putting the small battery of missiles in Poland etc… is to protect Europe from possible missile attacks from Iran etc…As far as I know the missiles that the Americans want to put in Poland are anti-Missiles to shot down other missiles. But in any event this should not happen, why should American Tax payer money be spend defending Europe, the Europeans are capable of doing it themselves if they so chose.

According to Bush (Condie, actually) these missles are to protect us from nuclear missles launched from the Middle East-mainly Iran (who don't have nuclear weapons, or ICBMs and won't--not for at least ad ecade, if ever). Apparently either Bush never looked at a map or he'd see how ridiculous that claim is.

Funny thing, the Russians don't believe Bush either. No one ever said they were dumb!

The US does not need to put missles near Russia. The US can hit targets in Russia from anywhere in the world, now.

Missiles have to go somewhere. May as well move them closer to the target.. Iran?

Can't wait till the Ruskies uncover they'd left disguised as giant cigars in Havana.
Putin will be very annoyed. I like him- he reminds me of Bond films.

When the US do it, it's all in the name of anti-terrorism and global policing. When anybody else does it, it's a terrorist threat.
