Hi!

I am very set on the first name but not so sure on the middle or the last.

Layne Patrick
Or
Layne Michael
Or
Layne Patrick Michael
OR
Layne Michael Patrick

I also wanted to sort of hyphenate the last name since I'm not married, but my boyfriend only wants his name, I just don't want to run into problems when me and my baby don't have the same last name. What do you think? And if I hyphenate it, will two middle names make it too super long? I was thinking that if I hyphenate it that I would only USE his last name for school and stuff, but for legal things like flying I would also like my name on the birth cert. Any ideas? Thanks!

Patrick is his middle name and Michael is my brothers name and he passed away in November. He really wants just Patrick, but I would like to have my brothers in there too if it doens't sound bad.

I really don't like the name Layne (especially for a boy), but if you're stuck on that I would not give the child two middle names and then a hyphenated last name, that's too much. (Layne Michael Patrick xxxxx-xxxx). I like the name Michael Patrick.

I don't think Layne is a very good first name so I cannot say which one goes best. My boyfriends last name is hyphenated from his father's side so when I have a baby with him we will still have a middle name for the baby. Its not as if you're gonna always call the child by its full name. I would suggest Michael Patrick _Lastname_ in your late brothers honour. You don't have to call the baby Michael, you could give him Mikey or Micky as a nickname. I think Mikey is super cute on baby boys!!

I like Layne Michael. If you are already hyphenating his last name don't do the middle name too. He might have trouble spelling it all out in school at first.

I think if you are going to hyphenate the baby's last name then don't give him 2 middle names. That would be just way to long for the little guy.

My fav is Layne Michael.

Congrats!
