If we came from monkeys (or apes, whatever!) why didn't they ALL evolve into humans? Just so y'all know, I do not believe in god so don't try to use that as an answer ok? :)

For those who wonder why there are both apes and humans existing at the same time, the answer is simple: we both evolved from a common ancestor, but not in the same environment, or under the same selective stresses, and therefore not at the same rate. The common ancestor was probably split into several large, geographically dispersed groups, who would not have interacted to any great degree. All species of apes are at a different intellectual level, some closer to monkeys, some closer to humans. But there is a gradation of intelligence. Not all species of cats or dogs or birds are of the same intelligence, either. Evolution explains both the similarities and the difference between all the different animals on Earth.

We didn't evolve from them, but beside them. Parallel evolution, common ancestor. They evolved into apes, we evolved into computer monkeys.

Yeah, we didn't evolve from monkeys, we share a common ancestor. So they aren't still around, since they weren't around before.

Wathever. Human are the only creatures that have concious, ehile tha other creatures evolved phizicaly, humans evolved psychologic. I heard that the Darwin law is getting unavailebe
