Watching the programme about Marie Lloyd last night with Jessie Wallace, my 10 year old son wanted to know if I ever saw Marie Lloyd in concert...Aaaaaaaaargh!

Lol kids have a great way of making you feel ancient,my 6 yr old keeps referring to when i was young as 'in the olden days'! My other son also asked me if i used to use pens with feathers on them!...Dont they make you feel great!!

My nephew, whose diaper I used to change, is already a year out of high school.
When I see a teenage kid driving way to fast on the highway and I just shake my head and mutter "stupid kid"
When am giving a ride to a young kid and a great song from the 90's comes on and I am singing along to it, then suddenly realize my young passenger is looking at me with the look that says, what the heck is this crap you are listening to.
When at the bar I see the just turned 21 crowd and they don't even look old enough to be drinking to me.
Finally, the only thing I look forward to on my B-day is lowered insurance rates.

Television footage from the 70s....like the miners' strike. I WAS THERE!!! It looks like 2nd World War footage.

Kids saying the 'olden days' when they mean the 60s
Kids knowing more about pcs, discs, DVD players etc etc than I do

Exercising makes me feel old because I'm weak. After running for a while I'd be out of energy.

when I say "back in the old days" referring to the 70's and 80's. When I say something and think " jes I sound like mum" and getting really grumpy at the youth of today.
