Your turtle sees the outside of her tank and is trying to get "there". To stop this, put a peice of colored paper on the outside of the tank. It's not too big of a deal, but if done a lot can cause them stress.

You probably need to make some changes in your tank . You need a large tank with a dry end of rocks that are at an angle so she can crawl out of the water and a deep end with 8 inches of fresh unclorinated water . You need a good uvb light about 8-10 away from her rocky basking area with no screen or covering over the bulb so she can get the beneficial UVB rays . Screen blocks the rays . You need to have at least two thermometers , one at each end with a basking area 85-90 and a cooler end about 75 . Make sure it does not fall below 70 degrees at night . 12 hours light , 2 hours darkness . Feed during the day all she will eat hamburger , worms ,small fish . clean any left over food out daily and change the water at least every week or as needed .

she may be bored...do you have a basking area for her? the land area should be 1/3 of the tank, the rest should be water. the glass might be so clear she doesnt know its there either, try putting colored paper around the areas shes trying to get out of....

Turtles do not understand glass and become agitated when they cannot pass through it. It is best to tape a visual block where she is trying the hardest to give her a visual signal she cannot pass here.
