I hate that he does that. Its so fake. His wife has nothing to do with the show and when they are walking down together it just seems like they are forcing something on you.

I, am in no way, a fan of Dr.Phil; but I think it's very nice of her & extremely supportive to be there everytime. Them walking away hand in hand is just another gesture of that.
But I get where you're coming from --Trying too hard to set the "right" example for the people that he was talking to or whoever is watching.
Maybe it's scripted from the producers; who knows!

No, I dont think it is artificial. I think it is a loving gesture. They are just setting a good example to all the Americans. I also admire his wife for being there in the audience for all his shows. I'm sure it must be very encouraging to him.

I think she's very lucky. He makes the money, she wears the cool clothes, and she has every right to look adoringly at him as he pulls her out of there. He really does need to tame his walk down a bit. It's hard to run that fast in heels, the poor lady.

No. What I find "artificial" is the Maury Show. "You my baby daddy..."
"No, I'm not yo' baby daddy." "Maury, I'm 3000% sure Andre is my baby daddy, my baby look just like Andre." "Bleep, bleep, bleep, I ain't her baby daddy." "Andre,...You are NOT the father of 10 month old Teniqua!" (Mother screams, runs off stage and throws tantrum. Maury, runs to her side saying: "Monique, you have a beautiful child, and we will work with you to find the father." (Announcer comes on: Next Maury, we test the 15th man to find the father of Monique's baby, ...:)

You are sooo right! he's the biggest looking DOOF i've ever seen trying to give advice and have his PLASTIC face wife cheering him on, and when they walk away look at how she almost runs to keep up with his DOOFUS walk! such a show off..the both of them.

dunno if it is artificial to them, sure they love each other etc... but i know what you mean, it is a bit cheesy, the way she sits there smiling at the right moments dutifullly waiting for her husband....
